How to increase organic growth when the website, UX and technical SEO are already well established.
At NYD, we quickly discovered that the main obstacle to further organic growth was not the website itself. The technical foundations, UX and basic structure were already well established, but in Google’s eyes the domain did not yet have enough authority to outrank competitors for important searches.
The main opportunity therefore lay beyond the website. We needed a systematic off-site SEO approach to increase the number of high-quality external signals and demonstrate the brand’s relevance and professional authority to Google.

approach
How we systematically increased domain authority through PR coverage, link insertions and topically relevant links.
We built the strategy around the quality and relevance of backlinks. Instead of collecting as many backlinks as possible, we sought authoritative websites and content that were closely related to the areas in which NYD wanted to build visibility.
The first pillar consisted of high-quality PR and SEO articles on relevant portals. The second was strategic link insertion into existing content that already had authority, traffic and strong rankings.
We placed particular emphasis on topical consistency. Every link had to have a clear context and support the areas in which we want to build NYD’s authority over the long term.

results
Organic clicks more than doubled, while visibility in Google nearly doubled.
Organic clicks increased from approximately 47,000 to 104,000, representing growth of 121.3%. At the same time, impressions rose from 1.1 million to 2.14 million, an increase of 94.5%.
Traffic volume was not the only improvement. CTR rose from 4.1% to 4.9%, while the average position improved from 14.1 to 8.4. NYD therefore moved from an average position on the second page of results well onto Google’s first page, creating a much stronger foundation for continued organic growth.
